What is Coffin Farm?
A 15 acre farm in Redmond WA, home to the coffin family, chickens, and goats. Exhibitions are organized by Von Coffin and Edward “Ned” Coffin.
What is the summer show?
A yearly group exhibition opening with a day long farm party.
When is the summer show?
The opening party will take place on August 22nd and the show will run through October 18th.
What happens after the exhibition?
Artists may choose to leave their work on the farm permanently, where it will age and deteriorate over time, becoming part of a growing sculpture graveyard.
How do I apply?
Send a short proposal and supporting images to CoffinFarmResidency@gmail.com
What kind of work is accepted?
Sculpture, installation, sound, video, performance... Anything but painting.
Can I apply if I live outside the region?
A limited number of artists who can’t be present to install work are accepted. These will ship at their own expense and coordinate installation with Von and Ned.
Can I visit the farm?
Yes. Email CoffinFarmResidency@gmail.com to arrange a site visit.
